On 2 February, speaking at his meeting with the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Mohammed bin Said bin Khalfan Al Mamari during his working trip to Oman, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Tatarstan is the northernmost part of the Muslim world. Being a multi-ethnic region of Russia it deeply respects Islamic values of tolerance and spiritual unity. Muslims, Christians and other confessions have been coexisting in harmony in the republic for centuries.”

On 2 February, speaking at his meeting with the Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade Sezai Uçarmak on the sidelines of the Forum held in Oman, which Turkey is the partner-country of, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the republic traditionally attaches great attention to the development of cooperation with Turkey and considers itself to be an efficient link between two countries.

On 2 February, speaking at his meeting with the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas on the sidelines of the Forum held in Oman, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted the importance of the Forum and emphasized that the republic plays the key role in interaction of Russia with the Islamic world.

On 2 February on the sidelines of the international forum in Oman, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) of Sultanate of Oman Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef who, prior to this appointment, served as the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the country since August 2020.

On 2 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of opening the Oman International Trade Exhibition OMNEX 2026 in Masqat which is dedicated to issues of innovations, modern technologies and tourism.

It is for the first time that Tatarstan is taking part in this exhibition and it has its own exposition there which representatives of the Oman Royal family, including His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said and the President of the World Ethnosport Federation Bilal Erdoğan, the son of the Turkish President, and other officials looked round before the official opening ceremony.

On 2 February , speaking at his meeting with the Minister of Construction and Urban Planning of Sultanate of Oman Khalfan bin Saeed bin Mubarak al-Shueili,  the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov  stated that the construction complex is one of the economic powerhouses of Tatarstan. He said that the amount of work in the branch exceeded nearly 13bn dollars US and for the fifth year in the row more than 3m square meters of housing are commissioned in the republic.

On 1 February, upon his arrival to the Sultanate of Oman, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Deputy President of the Oman Investment Authority Mulham Al-Jarf, where he stated that Tatarstan attaches special attention to the development of cooperation with Sultanate of Oman for the benefit of strengthening friendly relations of Russia and Oman.

On 31 January, at a Saturday meeting held in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave a number of errands.

He emphasized that heavy snowfalls and blizzards in the region in recent days have created difficult conditions on roads and highways, significantly increasing the load on road and utility services and causing traffic accidents. “In these conditions, our task is to ensure the safety of citizens and the sustainable functioning of the road and public utility infrastructure,” the Rais of the republic said and gave an errand to the regional Ministry of Transport and Road Economy, the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic, the Emergencies Ministry and the State Housing Inspection together with heads of cities and regions to organized round-the clock work of all road, utility and emergency services and to ensure timely clearing of snow from highways, the road and street network of populated areas and public spaces. On top of that it is important to ramp up control over management companies and property owners regarding the maintenance of courtyards, driveways, and sidewalks and to control snow and ice removal from roofs and entrance structures of multi-apartments houses, social and commercial facilities with large numbers of people present.

On 31 January, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin reported that capital overhaul of nine school in eight municipalities of the republic has started.

On 30 January during the resulting collegium of the Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Road Economy held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Gorky Branch of the Russian Railways Company Sergey Dorofeevskiy signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of railway transport for 2026-2028 between the Government of the republic and JSC Russian Railways which envisages cooperation in terms of increasing the volume of rail transportation, developing the railway infrastructure in the republic, and implementing various projects in Tatarstan.
