On 26 August speaking at his meeting with the Belarus Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich on the sidelines of the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum-2026, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that cooperation with the Republic of Belarus is very important for Tatarstan within the framework of Russia-Belarus relations. “Presidents of our countries show an example of how to support each other,” he said. 

On 26 August speaking at a business breakfast of the Gazprombank dedicated to “Technological leadership as a driver of development of regions” and held on the sidelines of the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum-2026, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the Gazprombank is a reliable partner of the republic and one of the large players in the banking sector of the republic, the partnership with which spans for more than 15 years. 

On 26 August, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Belarus Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich, the Minister of Oil and Ecology of the Kingdom of Bahrain Doctor Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina and other representatives of oil and gas branch of Russia and foreign countries took part in a solemn ceremony of opening the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum-2026 at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center. 

On 25 August in the Kazan Kremlin the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei who came to take part in the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum to be held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center on 26 August.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the leadership of the UAE for their attention to the republic and fostering close partnership bonds. “Under difficult geopolitical situation when regions are facing many challenges, our cooperation is taking on particular relevance and is of great importance for the sustainable development of our countries,” he said.

On 25 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov came on a working trip to Arsk region where he got acquainted with harvest progress, looked round an exposition of local producers and had a meeting with heads of farms, investors, heads of rural settlements and active public members.

Speaking at the meeting, the Head of the region Almaz Khisamutdinov reported that farmers have harvested 48 per cent of crop areas with the average yield of 38 centners per hectare.

On 25 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov went on a working trip to Vysokaya Gora region where he, accompanied by the Head of the region Ravil Khisamutdinov, inspected a number of social facilities which underwent capital overhaul. 

Thus he was shown a renovated building of the public-administrative center which houses the Civil Registry Office, the Council and the Executive Committee of the Krasnoselskoye rural settlement, the Commission on Juvenile Affairs and the Guardianship and Trusteeship Sector. 

On 25 August during his working trip to Arks region, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Nuraniya Mosque located on 805 kilometer of the M-7 highway and designed for 50 people.

The initiator of the construction presuppose that the mosque will be used by believers, travelling along the M-7 and told Rustam Minnikhanov that all construction and improvement work has been completed.

On 25 August the Rais (Head) of TAtarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the Chief of the Staff of the Rais Asgat Safarov and the Chairman of the Tatarstan Muslims Spiritual Board Kamil hazrat Samigullin took part in a ceremony dedicated to the Mawlid al-Nabi Holiday commemorating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad held at the reconstructed Rajab Mosque in Kazan. 

On 24 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minikhanov took part in a meeting of the Central Bank of Russia held by the Chairperson of the Bank Elvira Nabiullina in Moscow, which among other issues discussed implementation of an experiment in partnership financing.

Partnership financing, which does not provide for the investor to receive income in the form of interest on funds transferred to clients thus distributing both revenues and risks between clients and investors, has been implemented in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan and Chechnya since 1 September 2023.

On 23 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to the Republic of Chechnya, visited the grave of the First President of Chechnya, the Hero of Russia Akhmad-Hadji Kadyrov and honored his memory by a prayer.
