On 19 September, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, the Director of the Fund “The Institute for the Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova reported that in the current year 560 courtyards in 13 municipalities have been improved within the regional “Our Yard” programme.

On 19 September, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated forestry workers with their professional holiday which is celebrated in Russia on 20 September.

He said that currently 1.6m hectares of the area of the republic are covered with forests and the branch employs 2 500 people. Every year more than 22 million tree seedlings are planted and more than 4 thousand hectares of forests are recovered, the Rais of the republic said.

On 19 September, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the elections of members of the Russian State Duma of IX convocation are going on in the republic and gave an errand to keep the election process under continuous control.

On 18 September the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the regional Minister for youth Affairs Azat Kadyrov and the Minister of Education and Science of the republic Ilsur Khadiullin took part in events of the “Time of the Young” festival held as part on the Freshman Day of the republic and organized on the bank of the Kazanka River in Kazan.

The “Time of the Young” festival, which gathered about 40 thousand students from all over the republic, is the first multi format festival, the festive events of which are simultaneously held in nine cities of Tatarstan and, welcoming its participants, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the events of the Freshman Day are held in the republic. “It is one of the brightest periods in life of every person, the time of bold ideas, real friends and first big victories,” he said. 

On 18 September Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremonial event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Motor Sports in Naberezhnyye Chelny where he started with looking round racing cars exhibition, including legendary KAMAZ-Master trucks which for the first time won the Dakar race in 1996, organized in front of the Organ Hall.

On September 18, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and veterans of the teaching profession unveiled the monument to the Teacher, which was installed in the newly established Teacher Square next to the new Teachers’ House. The project was designed by the People’s Artist of Tatarstan Farit Valiullin. The composition features three bronze figures — a teacher, a schoolgirl and a schoolboy — as well as a column with a book on a granite pedestal.

On 18 September at the polling station 42 in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and his spouse cast their ballots at the elections of members of the Russian State Duma of IX convocation.

The elections are being held in Russia on 18-20 September and it Tatarstan additional elections are organized in the single mandate constituency in Vysokaya Gora and of representative bodies of municipalities.

On September 17, at Ak Bars Arena Stadium in Kazan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Sergey Tabelsky and Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin handed in awards to the winners and medalists of the 5th All-Russian Archery Competition “Russian Prosecutor General’s Cup

President of the Russian Archery Federation Zorigtо Mankhanov also took part in the awarding ceremony.

On 17 September the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in a ceremony of opening the Inclusion Center “Yardam” (Help) for the blind and people with disabilities located in Serova Street in Kazan. It is the only such center in Russia providing a wide range of free services for people with visual impairments and musculoskeletal disorders.

On 16 September at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Kirill discussed current work of the Metropolis of the republic, interaction in strengthening inter-ethnic and inter-confessional peace in the republic and joint work in further restoration of religious facilities.
