On 1 September in his address on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic, schoolchildren and students and their parents and education workers with the holiday and said: “Tatarstan system of education has been rightly recognized as one of the leading in the country. In recent years dozens of modern schools equipped with the state-of-the-art technologies have been built in the republic and unique initiatives are being successfully implemented to support young talent and enhance the prestige of the teaching profession. Based on the best domestic traditions and advanced technologies, we open a way to great victories for the younger generation.

On 31 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov came on a working trip to Bishkek where he, accompanied by the Chairman of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic Marlen Mamataliev , took part in a ceremony of opening the VI World Nomad Games at the new stadium Bishkek Arena. The ceremony was also attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and leaders of many other countries. 

On 30 August the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitriy Chernyshenko and the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin took party in a ceremony of unveiling a memorial plaque to the Hero of Russia, the Honored Test Navigator of the USSR and the Kazan native Leonid Popov, which was installed on the façade of the main building of the Kazan Aircraft University.

On 30 August in his address on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic with the holiday and wrote: “ In its modern history Tatarstan has established itself as a leading region across many social and economic indicators and in terms of quality of life, rightfully has become the backbone region of the country and today continues making a substantial contribution into the development of the state, ensuring defense capability, technological leadership and might of Russia.

On 29 August on the eve of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the VIII International Motor Festival “Two Kremlins” which is dedicated to friendship of peoples of Russia and started from the walls of the Moscow Kremlin.

On 29 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Russian Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities Irek Fayzullin, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova took part in a ceremony of putting into use the renovated section on Kaban Lake Embankment located opposite the Galiaskar Kamal Theatre. It linked previously developed sections into a united whole, making the total Embankment length 5 kilometers.

On 29 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valeriy Falkov welcomed participants of the V Kazan Global Youth Summit held in Kazan on 26-30 August and which brought together 250 people from 50 countries, including nations from the BRICS and the OIC and the Asia-Pacific region.

In his speech the Rais of the republic noted that the meeting is taking place in the Center of Unique Craftsmanship. “This is a bright example of how we treat our cultural heritage, a unique project for our country and a place for educational stories. Here the best craftsmen share their knowledge with our children and young people,” he said.

On 29 August at the Center of Unique Craftsmanship,   the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valeriy Falkov  had a meeting with rectors of universities and branch ministers- participants of the V Kazan Global Youth Summit, the main topic of which is “Education in the epoch of global changes :personnel for sustainable development” and which brought together 250 participants from 50 countries,  including nations from the BRICS and the OIC and the Asia-Pacific region.

On 29 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards of Russia and the republic at a ceremony held on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Kazan Kremlin.  

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that honoring Tatarstan residents on the event of celebrating the Day of the Republic has become a good tradition and congratulated all participants with the holiday. “On this day we traditionally celebrate the outstanding contribution of the people of Tatarstan to strengthening the status of the republic as a backbone region of Russia. Everyone present in this hall is a shining example of a conscientious attitude towards work, dedicated service to Fatherland and love to the native land,” he stated. 

On August 28, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov together with the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Minister of Sport of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov and President of the Board of Rubin Football Club Marat Safiullin took part in the opening of the Football Development Centre, which is located on Kopylov Street in Kazan.
