On 20 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar discussed issues of cooperation. In particular, the parties considered interaction in the sphere of digitalization as the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiyev was one of the members of a delegation from the country.

On 20 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Sheikh Nasser ibn Hamad al Khalifa from Bahrain once again confirmed their intentions to ramp up work in increasing the volume of mutual trade. According to results in 2024 the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Bahrain increased by 7 per cent and made 483 thousand dollars US. 

On 20 June, speaking at his meeting with the Governor of Leningrad region Aleksandr Drozdenko on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Leningrad region is one of the leading business partners of our republic. We deliver trucks, petrol and diesel fuel, food products and medical instruments to you. Our petrochemical and machine-building enterprises are interested in expanding the cooperation.”

On 20 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the CTS Stock Exchange Joint-Stock Company Vitaliy Khayrullin signed an agreement on cooperation between the Government of the republic and the Company aimed at the development of the stock-exchange trade, formation of fair market prices and goods price indicators as well as strengthening of the economic potential of Tatarstan. 

On 20 June, speaking at his meeting with the Director General of the MTS Company Inesa Galaktionova, who is also the Chairperson of the Company Board on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “In Tatarstan about 2m resident are MTS subscribers which makes about 33 per cent of the market. I want to thank you for long time cooperation.” 

On 20 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Minister of Energy Sergey Tsivilev discussed organization and holding of Kazan International Energy Forum ENERGOPROM in 2026. 

On 19 June at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was shown the new domestic manufactured car LADA Aura. 

Earlier the republic signed a contract on purchasing 80 cars of this brand and today’s car was the first to be handed in. 

On 19 June, speaking at his meeting with the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized: “We are doing systemic work in implementation of the Plan as much as it is possible under the current conditions. We have prepared the list of participants of a working group for the development of cooperation with the Republika Srpska with participation of concerned ministries and directorates of Tatarstan. Our Ministry of Trade and Industry is preparing a visit of our delegation to your republic.”

On 19 June, speaking at his meeting with the President of the largest metallurgical state corporation of Indonesia Krakatau Steel Muhamad Akbar Djoan on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized: “Our republic is open for investments and innovations and is always ready to share its experience.” 

On 19 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey Mustafa Tuzcu discussed current joint projects.
