On 15 April at their meeting in the Government House of the republic held with participation of the Tatarstan Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiahmetov and the Head of the Directorate of the Volga-Vyatka Main Branch of the Bank of Russia for the republic Marat Sharifullin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Volga-Vyatka Main Branch of the Bank of Russia Andrey Popov discussed issues related to the current economic situation in the republic.

On 14 April, speaking at his meeting with the Prime Minister of Egypt Mostafa Madbouli in Cairo, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov informed him about a fruitful meeting with the President of Egypt he had, emphasizing that Russia traditionally is a reliable partner of Egypt in the sphere of food security.

In his turn the Prime Minister noted the special role of Rustam Minikhanov as the Chairman of the “Russia-the Islamic World Strategic Vision Group. “Your today’s meeting with the President is a sign of good relations between our states,” he said and emphasized: “I congratulate you with Kazan being awarded the status of the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2026. Preservation of cultural heritage is important work and we are always ready to work together with you. I wish you a successful KazanForum.”

On 14 April in Cairo the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who, welcoming his guest, stated that he has warm feelings for Russian President Vladimir Putin and is sincerely pleased with the friendly relations with Tatarstan. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi congratulated Rustam Minnikhanov on Kazan being awarded the status of the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2026 and expressed interest in cooperation in the field of culture.

On 13 April during his working trip to Egypt, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Grand Egyptian Museum which was solemnly opened with participation of Presidents of 18 countries, 12 kings and  supreme rulers, eight Prime Ministers and 40 Ministers and Parliamentary speakers in the end of the last year.

On 13 April during his working trip to Egypt, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited a grave of the Tatar philosopher and theologian Musa Bigiev in the El-Qarafa necropolis in Cairo.

The Bigiev family descended from Penza Tatars. Musa Bigiev graduated from several madrassas in Bakhchisarai, Kazan, and Bukhara, and studied at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, then in Mecca, Medina, and cities in British India.

On 13 April in Cairo the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited a branch of Kazan Federal University (KFU) located in the premises the medical complex and covering the area of 10 thousand square meters. The first student intake took place in 2023. The faculty consists of 214 people, including graduates of the KFU and leading higher educational institutions of Egypt and Russia.

On 13 April upon his arrival to the Cairo International Airport, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was welcomed by the Minister of Industry of Egypt Khaled Hashem Maher and Chargé d'affaires ad interim of Russia to Egypt Yury Matveev.

On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.

On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.

On 12 April in his address to Orthodox believers the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated them with the Easter and wrote: “Easter calls believers to spiritual transformation, love and mercy. Millions of Christians sincerely try to follow divine commandments – to keep their faith, to work constructively, to live in peace and harmony with others.
