On May 6, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Finnish-Russian actor and producer Ville Juhana Haapasalo discussed issues of cooperation in the promotion of the tourist potential of Tatarstan.

Yesterday, on the 5th of May, the Aeroflot plane, flying from Moscow to Murmansk, caught fire during an emergency landing at the Moscow’s airport.  According to preliminary data, 41 people were killed, 26 of them were residents of Murmansk region.

On April 27, as part of events dedicated to the 370-th anniversary of the fire brigade of Russia, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the official opening of the reconstructed fire and rescue unit No. 48 of the rescue team No. 7 of the Federal Fire-Fighting Service.  This is the only unit in the republic where an airmobile group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is located. The group is able to go to any place in Russia where their specialized assistance is needed in the shortest possible time.
