On December 7, Tatarstan State Counselor, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Regional Revival Fund Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with the Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin.

On December 7, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Education and Sports Dmitry Svishchev discussed the development of the sports industry in the republic, including the construction of sports facilities, the implementation of measures under the federal project «Sport is the Norm of Life» of the national project «Demography» and popularization of mass sports among the population.

On December 7, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the President of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (OIC YF) Taha Ayhan discussed the issues of further interaction development of relations in youth policy and new joint initiatives.

On December 6, during his working visit to Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Novikombank Elena Georgieva.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further cooperation of Tatarstan with «Novikombank» and the implementation of projects in the region. Today, the bank’s branches operate in 25 regions of the Federation, there is also a branch in Kazan.

On December 5, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin chaired a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Tatenergo Company on the results of nine-month work of the company.

On December 5, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, the Chairman of Tatarstan State Committee for Tariffs Aleksandr Grunichev said that scheduled indexation of utility tariffs will occur in all regions of Russia from July 1, 2024, after a one and a half year break. There was no indexation in 2023.

“In accordance with the requirements of federal legislation, the State Committee of the republic on Tariffs is obliged to approve tariffs for 2024 by December 20 of the current year. Tariffs will be calculated taking into account the socio-economic development forecast indicators approved by the Russian Government,” Grunichev said.

On December 5, at their meeting in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Mayor of Ankara (the Republic of Turkey) Mansur Yavaş discussed issues of developing and strengthening existing relations, building up business contacts and connections in various areas.

On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov together with representatives of the administration of the City of Hangzhou took part in a ceremony of opening an office of the Innopolis University in China, which will be used for promotion of the University and Tatarstan products and educational services in the Chinese market and fostering of the mutually beneficial trade turnover.

On 2 December the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov came on a working trip to Moscow to take part in events of the International Exhibition-Forum Russia held from 4 November 2023 to 12 April 2024 and the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan held within the framework of the forum on 2 November, where expositions of the republic demonstrate substantial achievements of the region in industry, agriculture, economy, medicine, culture and tourism.
