On June, 21 RT First Deputy Prime Minister, President of Tatarstan field hockey federation Boris Pavlov took part in a solemn ceremony of the first Cup “Challenge 2” in field hockey. The tournament started in the Centre of field hockey in Kazan. RT Minister of Youth, Sport and Tourism Marat Bariev, President of field hockey federation of Russia Sergey Chechenkov, representative of International field hockey federation Kler Peters-Monsie and other organizers, participants and guests of competitions took part in the event.

Today. Prime minister of Republic Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has taken part in a solemn opening of a new modern hotel Ibis in Kazan. Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the French Republic to the Russian Federation Jean De Gliniasti, RT minister on affairs of youth, sports and tourism Marat Bariev, head of executive committee of Kazan Rafis Barganov and other officials took part in the ceremony.

Document was signed in the course of meeting on issues of development of Kazan transport infrastructure during the process of preparing for the ХХVII World summer student games (Universiade) in 2013. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the meeting. By his words Universiade 2013 may exceed winter Olympic Games - 2014in Sochi. He also reminded that student competitions in Tatarstan will be held a year before holding Olympic Games in Sochi. “We have to set an example and demonstrate our possibilities”, - Mintimer Shaimiev said.
